Big news, we bought a house. Don't worry we won't be calling anyone to help us move because we already live there! We didn't have any intentions of buying this place when we moved in exactly a year ago, but now we have. It went up for sell in October and no one has been even a little interested in it. The owner finally lowered the price and we jumped on it.
Jacob had to leave for Ecuador on the 22nd and the papers weren't ready to sign until the 23 so I got to sign his name, my name and and short paragraph stating I could legally sign for him on about 150 pages. I had asked if I should get a babysitter and was told no, but after 20 minutes at 8:00 pm, I called a neighbor and amazing friend to come save me. We finished an hour later.
We are so excited to finally own a home we live in, especially with our amazing garden. We now own it.
At the last minute (Friday) the renters below us (it is a duplex) gave a 30 days notice. The owner, amazingly (great guy) came right over and fixed a few things that were bothering the renters and they have decided to stay (whew).
I would send a picture, but Jacob has the camera in Ecuador (He will be back Aug. 11) and he said he broke it, so it could be a while before I publish a photo, so use your imagination meantime!
