Happy Valentine's Day!

We were in Las Vegas for Valentine's Day this year with the whole family. Jacob had a 3 day certification class there and we all decided to go. We stayed at the Flamingo which is where his class was. It was fun to be there together for a few days. Once you get past the slots, smoke, scantily clad ads, and alcohol it is a great place. Actually, by the last day I was thinking there was still a lot we could do. It was too cold to swim so we enjoyed all the exhibits in a few of the hotels. We saw lions, a unicycle performance, the shark reef, M&Ms, fountains, and our cousins who live there.

Valentine Cookies

Rylie and Mason helped me make some Valentine cookies. It was interesting to see their different personalities during the project. I frosted and they sprinkled.

Rylie, as you can see in the picture below, covered every inch with sprinkles. I told her once to not do so much because they just fall off and too many don't taste very good. She, of course, thought otherwise and continued sprinkling her way.

Mason was a little more conservative in his decorating, as you can see under his picture. His first couple of cookies he coated, but after I told Rylie to not do so much he changed his style. It really bothered him that Rylie didn't listen and did it her own way. He kept saying, "Not so much Rylie."
