Idaho for Easter

On the way to my parents home in Idaho we saw a small herd of buffalo on the road near Yellowstone.  We weren't in the park, just on the northern border, but I have see more wildlife on that road than ever in the park.
It was some much needed distraction/excitement in the last couple of hours of a long day of driving.  Even Tirzah could see them from her carseat and for a while afterward she would point to the window and babble.

Of course we hiked the Butte while we were there.  It is becoming a spring tradition for our Idaho visits.  The kids are getting pretty good and can go up and down by themselves, with Olivia as their trusty guide.  They do it much quicker than I do carrying a baby.

It was my birthday while we were there (I wonder who planned that!) and I chose Big Juds for my birthday dinner.  My mom was a little shocked, but I insisted.
Here is the one pound hamburger I ordered (and shared!).

Tirzah is enjoying a french fry with a silly grin.

Grandpa and Zach pulled Tirzah around on this horse and she loved it.

Waving

Smiling for Grandpa's picture.

The kids found their Easter baskets when we got home from church.  The Easter bunny had hidden them all around outside.
Wow the Easter bunny sure loves you!

He must love you too, your basket is loaded.
The kids baskets had kites, bubbles, seach and find books and coloring books in them.

Waiting for someone to say "GO!"
Let the HUNT begin!

Searching high-

-and low for the last egg.
They thought they didn't want to participate, but really they did.

Look at the awsome egg I found!

My bag is so full of Easter eggs it is bursting open!

It was a very succesful hunt for Rylie.

Tirzah got to have her eggs handed to her on the blanket.  She is still not sure about the feel of grass on her bare feet.

Nana had an Easter Bunny store the kids got to shop in with money from their eggs.  Zach was thrilled with this Spiderman kickboard.

Tirzah even got to open some birthday presents while we were in Idaho.

Thanks Nana and Grandpa-I love books!
They gave her books and summer hats.

I love birthdays, how long until I get another one?

Pittsburgh visit

Next Tirzah and I headed over to Pittsburgh to see Devin and Nicole and their family.  It was so fun to see their home that they had worked so hard on.  Pittsburgh was a lot bigger than I had imagined and very green.  I headed over to the University of Pittsburgh to check out all Devin's handiwork and tour his stomping grounds.  This was his locker.  It was full of teeth, teeth and more teeth.  The amazing thing was that he could tell you details about each mouth and individual teeth.

Scary dental tools!!

Looking good in his official dental student jacket.

His reserved seat for all the lectures.  Not to close to the front (actually very close to the back) and on the isle for a quick escape at the end of the lecture.

A view of the University of Pittsburgh.  The majority of those big buildings in the center are the campus.  It is very large and VERY hilly.

Cousins getting to know each other.
Tirzah and Brynlee had a great time.
I didn't get a picture of Callen, but he was adorable and he loves his big sister!

The thing we have heard the most about over the past 4 years is all the great biking trails they have found.  So it was important to experience a trail with them while we were visiting.  They rounded stuff up for Tirzah and I and we headed out for a bike tour of the city.

It was so fun to see Pittsburgh
